The Queen of Rap is quickly becoming the Queen of Outerwear. This past week, Nicki Minaj celebrated the release of her fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, and she did so in style—wearing three incredible coats in the span of a single day.
She was first spotted walking the streets of New York City on Monday in a gold, crinkle-textured jacket from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection. She paired the eye-popping piece with a matching gold bag from Louis Vuitton and shoes from Schiaparelli. She also wore a patterned bandana from Chanel.
But that was only the beginning. Later that same day, the “Super Bass” singer was spotted in not just one, but two fuzzy jackets that would probably have PETA protesting if Muppets were real creatures.
The first was a pink Alexandre Vauthier hooded coat, which she wore with a pair of matching mink boots from Duckie Confetti. Underneath the fuzzy accessories, the Trinidadian rapper wore a pair of black leather pants and a white ribbed top.
Then, Minaj stepped out in another fuzzy coat from Alexandre Vauthier, this time an electric yellow overcoat, which she paired with glittery green knee-high boots from Givenchy. To round out the fit, Minaj added a red T-shirt that read “Crème de la Crème” and a pair of blue jeans, which were tucked into her tall footwear.
The former American Idol judge had quite the busy day on her hands, as she prerecorded an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in the afternoon and then stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in the evening. We’re just glad she found time to make these stunning outfit changes.
